International Attendees

The Best of ASCO Meetings bring together oncology professionals from all over the world. If you are not a United States citizen and plan to attend a Best of ASCO Meeting, advance planning is critical. All non-U.S. citizens should consider the following when making their plans to travel to the United States.

Visa Process

ASCO will provide a letter stating your intent to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting, which may assist you in obtaining your travel visa. Attendees may request a visa letter using the link in the registration confirmation email or by logging into the registration website to review their registration. Attendees must register and pay in full prior to requesting a visa letter. Visa letters are not available to attendees who are not paid in full or who have canceled their registration.

If you need another copy of your registration confirmation email, please contact our registration team.

If you are unable to receive a visa to leave your country or are unable to enter the United States, contact us regarding a refund.

Citizens from countries that participate in the Visa Waiver Program may be unable to enter the United States without Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval from the U.S. government. For more information about how to apply for ESTA authorization, visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website.

Due to recent policy changes, U.S. Consulates may request additional documentation from applicants for visas to enter the United States. This may include information concerning travel and work history as well as other details. We encourage travelers to familiarize themselves with these procedures and factor in additional time for visa processing.

For more information about obtaining a visa, please visit the U.S. State Department website. Please contact ASCO Meetings with any questions regarding travel, registration, hotel, and transportation.
